Johnson State men’s cross country team competed in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championships on Sunday, taking home a seventh place finish out of nine teams.

The Badgers had three runners post top forty finishes as the squad tallied 176 points. Lyndon St. finished as the top team at the event with 38 points, while Colby-Sawyer (49) and New England College (90) placed 2nd and 3rd overall.

Tyler Scheibenflug of Lyndon St. grabbed the top overall spot with a time of 25:27 followed by Colby-Sawyer’s Brandon Legendre (26:04) and Hayden Bunnel (26:17) in 2nd and 3rd places.

Brendan Walsh finished as the top overall Badger on Sunday, notching an eighth place finish in 27:15. The junior harrier has now been the top Johnson finisher at seven races this year. Walsh was named NAC first team all-conference for his performance.
Steven Lamonde and Zach Levy rounded out the top three for Johnson finishing in 33rd and 38th respectively.

Walsh, Lamonde and Levy will all compete for the Badgers at the New England regional race Saturday, November 15.
