Visiting Pine Manor College pulled off a tough road victory against non-conference opponent Johnson State College, in a Sunday afternoon contest held at Johnson’s Carter Gymnasium. Johnson State drops to 5-13 overall, while the visiting Lady Gators improved to 15-3 overall.

The Badgers saw three players score in double digits were again paced by starting forward Kasey DeGreenia, who earned a double-double scoring a game-high 19 points while pulling down 12 rebounds.

Teammates Eliannie Sola and Brittany Robertson each chipped in 15 and11 points respectively.

The Lady Gators enjoyed a balanced scoring attack all day long. Maria Vaughan and Natasia Franklin led Pine Manor with 18 points each.

Jayva Johnson and Alexis Lee rounded out the stat sheet with 12 and 10 points respectively.

Pine Manor opened up scoring in the first half taking the lead 30-12. Just as fans and the visitors were preparing to handily take the game, Johnson  went on a 30-14 run to close the gap and end the half at 44-42.

Play remained locked-up, throughout the second half. The Badgers were unable to take the lead, but were within three points of the visitors for nearly the entire stanza.

Despite an impressive rally, the Badgers were unable to convert their momentum into a win, seeing PMC walk off with a 74-73 win.

The Lady Badgers return to action this Friday, Feb. 7th, when they host conference opponent Thomas in a 5:30 p.m. match up.
