Palmisano stops 32 shots in Husson tilt

Brandon Corbo had a six-point effort to lead the Husson University men’s lacrosse team to an 11-1 win over Johnson St. on Saturday, March 21 at Boucher Field. The Eagles improve to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in league play while Johnson St. falls to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in league play.

The Eagles came out strong, with Brett Martin tallying the first goal under two minutes into the contest from Corbo. Corbo added his second assist less than a minute later when he found Trent Sell (Lititz, PA) for another score.

Corbo got on the board himself with 5:46 left when Zack Glazier  found him and he rifled one by Johnson St. goalie Jay Palmisano.

Corbo found Derek Driscoll for a man-up goal less than 90 seconds later and the Eagles took a 4-0 lead after the first quarter.

Johnson St. was able to score the lone goal of the second quarter courtesy of Anthony Iammatteo and Husson took a 4-1 lead into halftime.

Husson put the game away in the third quarter, with Corbo scoring a pair and Jack White and James Seager  tallying the other two.

Kevin Nolan , Driscoll and White completed the scoring for Husson in the final quarter.

Tom Lepage made four saves in net for Husson while Palmisano made 32 saves for Johnson St.
Husson continues action on Wednesday at St. Joseph’s.
