Men’s tennis falls to St. Mike’s

The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men’s tennis team dropped a non-conference match to in state opponent Saint Michaels College on Tuesday, March 26 at Topnotch Resort.

The Badgers Austin Walters and John Folsom competed in #1 doubles for the first match of the evening. The Purple Knights were strong winning the first doubles match by a score of 8-1. Walters and Folsom were the only Badgers that recorded a point as Senior Colin Compagna and Junior Trevor Newton fell in #2 doubles by a score of 8-0 and Garrison French and Javon Daniels dropped #3 doubles 8-0.

The Purple Knights continued to be impressive throughout singles play as they captured wins in every singles match. Walters competed for the Badgers in #1 singles and was edged by Max Allen of Saint Michaels by a score of 6-3, 6-3. Compagna fell in #3 singles by scores of 6,0 and 6,1.
