Men’s golf finishes second

The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men’s golf team took second place overall in the SUNY Adirondack College Golf Invitational. Senior Austin Walters earned medalist honors shooting a tournament best 73.

The Badgers earned a second place finish this past weekend at the SUNY Adirondack College Golf Invitational behind Niagara Community College who won the Invitational with a team score of 321. The Badgers scored an overall score of 337. Behind the strong performance from Walters who earned his first medalist honors of his career, was teammate David Albright. Albright came off a team best finish earlier in the week at the Westfield State Spring Invitational and continued to be impressive recording a score of 75. Colin Compagna rounded out the Badgers shooting an 86 on the day.
