The Johnson State College women’s soccer team rolled to an 11-3 victory over host  Fisher College Sunday evening. Johnson improves to 3-1 overall while Fisher slides to 0-1.
The Badgers were led by unstoppable junior midfielder Casey Hutchinson, who netted four goals and registered two assists in the Badgers’ winning effort. Shannon Grier and Briana Stadler each found the back of the net twice for the Badgers while Maddison Prescott, Shannon Larkin,  and broke free down the right wing,launched a shot into the upper left corner of the net to just seven minutes into play. Sophomore Maddison Prescott, Alexa Jakiela and Shannon Larkin each tallied one goal.

Johnson opened up the first stanza just seven minutes in with an unassisted goal from Prescott. The Badgers knocked in three more before Fisher notched its first two goals from Schojan. Johnson answered with two more goals before the half to lead the hosts 6-2.

Fisher was awarded a penalty kick in the first minute of the second half, bringing the score to 6-3. The Badgers tighted up their defense silencing Fisher for the next 44 minutes of play while scoring five more goals in the process. Johnson ended the match with the score of 11-3, picking up its second win ont the weekend.

Senior goalkeeper Amber McCullock turned away four shots picking up her third win of the season.
The Badgers return to the pitch on Tuesday for their home opener against Curry College at 4:00pm at Minaert Field.
